Nature meets literature in this luxury double room, named after the outstanding writer and early champion of conservation Gerald Durrell, who founded The Jersey Zoological Park in 1959 after the success of his best-known book ‘My Family and Other Animals’. Gerald lived in Trinity until his death in 1995 and his widow, Dr. Lee Durrell, remains as Honorary Director of what is now the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. Eulah currently sponsors a Gorilla at Durrell and every stay in this room contributes to the Trust’s continuing work.
As luxurious as all our accommodation, with a super-king sized bed, en suite bath and shower and large walk-in wardrobe, the rooms are styled in natural red, gold and green shades, with extraordinary book-patterned trompe l'oeil wallpaper and many of the Durrell family’s books to stimulate your own creative tendencies.
